Imagination: Lets put O'Neal or Vinson or D. Moore in the game on a reverse (nobody will see that coming).

Execution: We fumble the ball around on the execution (we've never fumbled or botched a reverse in the last 10 months or so).

We can't even run a regular play, wy in the hell are we trying a trick play? Did Cutty yawn while calling that play or what?

i thought they deliberately instructed O'Neal to run inside like that and for Coker to deliberately pitch the ball like that in case it WAS fumbled and the result would be incomplete pass.

I doubt that... I think it was just dumb luck on our part.

you know when you are running the ball for 5.6 yards per carry you dont need trick plays.
But with the brain trusts we have as coaches i'm not suprised.

It seems like every time we have a decent drive going, they call for the end around or the reverse and it loses yards and eventually kills the drive.

Here's a thought, if you feel like you need to get Oneal the ball, put him in and throw the ball to him. If he's not capable of running a route, keep him on the bench.

That's just it. It shouldn't be so hard to tell him to go deep.

that's what I thought. If it's a slow developer like that one and you're using speed to beat people (and their own momentum) to the other side of the field, why not do it that way every time. I bet we'll see more of that in the future.
