Fortunately for the Braves fans on the board they made it back in 95 :naughty:.

The longer I look at all the teams involved, the Rockies remind me of the Florida Marlins team of destiny.

I dont know though... they dont have the pitching to make it through IMO.. look at how stacked the AL is with pitching you got schilling, beckett, wakefield, and matsuzaka.. then for cleveland you got sabathia, byrd, carmona, and westbrook. so i dont see anyone beating that especially colorado or arizona

Any short series in baseball is a largely a crapshoot. There are dozens of examples, but you don't have to look any farther back than last year's WS. Both of the AL teams are better than both of the NL teams, but that doesn't necessarily mean that much in only a handful of games.

schilling would have to pitch both games at home. He'd get torched in coors, humidor or not. If the Rockies got his speed down, he'd give up 4-5 hrs

I think if MLB hitters get a pitcher's speed down, any lineup could go 4-5 HRs... the BoSox being one of them.

Olde Towners in 6 over Cleveland, and in 5 for the Parade over the NL rep. Supposedly, Sabathia isn't allowed to go on 3 days rest, for his or the teams reasons, so game 7 would be Beckett vs (i believe) Westbrook, on Yawkey Way.

i guess I wasn't clear enough. My point was Schilling's weakness is he gives up the long ball. As evidenced last night. No way could he pitch effectively in Coors.

Fausto vs G38 Redux. The "New Schilling" got it done at the jake, lets hope Curt can get it done on Yawkey Way. Sox win, that makes for a "Dice"y game 7.

Personally, I'd rather dust of Luis Tiant or Bill Lee than have Matsuzaka in game 7, but if someone clubs Gagne Nancy Kerrigan style, he can be DL'ed, and Bucholz can start....
