Being a UT fan in the midstate area, I've noticed The Tennessean Newspaper takes more pride in showing Tennessee losses as opposed to their victories. For instance, sports front page picture today of the game yesterday.I can't wait till my pre-paid subscription runs out. That will be it for me. Newpapers are online anyways.

It's not a Mod thing. Everybody has access to the ratings.

(but upon reading that last post, I decided to rate it one star myself) :D

Yep, bro it's not us. Everyone who reads a thread can rank it. :dunno:

I will give you five stars just because it is Sunday. I happen to like the Tennessean. Those guys are usually willing to tell it like it is.

Why is it always our fault?

Either it's an instinctive recognition of y'all's god-like omnipotence, or it's just payback for the b.o. thing....

Don't you know?! If it ain't the referee's fault, then it's the newspaper's fault or the mods on the message board! It's never the TEAM'S fault for losing!

Considering that nothing else going in sport, except the boring Olympics that nobody is watching, I would think the UT game (win or lose) would have been front page in all the major newspapers in the state.

If i am looking for the actual facts of what is happening, I will pick the Tennessean everytime. IMO they tell it like it is. We may not like what we read, but most of the time, they have it right.

From the out of state point of view, the Asheville Citizen-Times gives UT men's basketball one little tiny paragraph with about 3 lines when they win. And never a box score. But I wish you could have seen Sunday's sports section headline. ALABAMA SHOCKS #8 TENNESSEE with a quarter page writeup. Heck, the Vols football team didn't get that much ink when they won the national championship.
