Vegasvol may wanna look at UNC's 2009 team again and see how they finished. Also, those numbers are misleading when the 3+ NBA players all return the next year and win the championship a la UNC 2004-2005 and UNC 2007-2009. I'm sure there are more examples as well.

And they were a little before my time but I also gotta agree with Phi Slamma Jamma from what I've seen/read on them.

1973-1974 UCLA. In the NCAA semis blew a 10 pt lead late against NC State when a 10pt lead meant something, and a 7 point lead in overtime. Blew a 12 point lead in the last 2 1/2 minutes at ND to end their 88 game win streak (which I hate now that the silly girls team claims the longest streak)
