Load up 2-300 people with all equipment and tell me it's insignificant. That's why the whole band doesn't travel to every away game!! The online classes are being done because there aren't enough rooms available on campus for proper social distancing for large classes. Most of the "online" classes at UT are actually hybrid classes, where they meet in person in smaller groups one day a week. All of it costs UT the same amount or more than a normal setup.

Band travel is an insignificant expense. I gave you the exact number, they are saving less than $100,000 by not having the band travel this year. UT and most other schools don't load up a 300-person travel party anymore because many schools don't allow the opposing band to perform at halftime anymore. In the SEC, all the athletics departments but Vanderbilt cover travel expenses for their bands. I don't know about other conferences.

That was the original date around the Kentucky game. They haven't rescheduled it officially, but it's likely most homecoming events will be cancelled.

Are the black uniforms still a go? And if so, for what game? They were originally UK, but doubt that will happen now

This is where the athletic department could get creative. Give fans the chance to donate money for a cardboard cutout of themselves like they are doing in MLB. Then the players can run through a T of fans. Just an idea.

They are doing this with Tiran season ticket holders and since I'm not into selfies, chose not to.

Can we put up a bunch of UT flags in the shape of the T or having coaching staff wave some for the boys to run through ?

Not much of a consolation but itā€™s something.
