...has been Kiffin. There,I said it! The Vols beat S.Carolina and Georgia, and almost beat 'Bama that year. TN seems to be getting worse with each new coach.

Oh shut up.

Butch hasn't even gotten to play either of those 3 teams yet.

Kiffin had a talented team full of NFL talent. who the hell is going to the NFL on this roster? besides a handful of o lineman and maybe AJ. don't see anyone!

Obviously not a big Kiffin guy like most UT fans but I will give him credit where credit is due. He had the team show up in big games. With that said he had a bunch of players from the Fulmer era two years removed from an SEC Championship game.

I'm a huge Kiffin fan, but we did struggle through some rough outings that season, too.

that same Championship-caliber team that lost 41-17 at Bama and 59-20 at Florida...

People like you are why we're in this situation. You b*tched when Fulmer slid a little and now 5 years later you're back b*tching 5 games into the season.
It's your own damn fault for expecting so much this year. If you had half a brain you'd see the caliber of players he has. My mammaw always told me you just can't make chicken salad with chicken s****. This is for you and all the crybabys calling for Jones job.

That's a no-brainer. Dooley was so bad, he makes a mediocre Kiffin look good. Butch looks Dooley-on-crutches-sitting-on-sideline-chair lost.

We had way too much talent in 09 to only win 7 games. Montario Hardesty, Bryce Brown, a pretty good Crompton, Wes Brown, ERIC BERRY, and an O-Line that might have been better than the one we have now. In other words, any coach could've gotten at least 7 wins with that team.

ehh, Crompton was only good because of Kiffin. Kiffin put the trust in him that Fulmer could never give. Bryce Brown isn't in Tennessee if Kiffin isn't here, and he played injured all season as a true freshman. And really? O-Line? The O-Line that started 2 250lb walk-ons in the interior? REALLY?!

Lane Kiffin sucked pretty much as bad as Jones at this point thru 5 games. Crompton was worse than Worley. The second half of Kiffin's season he did a great job of getting the team to play up to their potential, we'll see what Jones does.

The majority of the players in 09 simply had a higher ceiling than this team. Other than the O-Line, the entire offense in 09 had more talent.

Kiffen had to go to OT to win against UAB.

Ask yourself where Butch would be if he had Kiffin's roster right now.

Not a damn thing.

Worley is worse than Crompton.

Still would be chasing Tebow.

Still wouldn't have a proven RB.

Also. Those wins he got, don't mean s*** as Georgia was down that year as well as USCe (who finished an unranked 7-6).

Yes, the O-Line. Didnt they only give up like 12 sacks that year? On top of Hardesty rushing for 1300 yards. And what does "Bryce Brown not being there if Kiffin isn't" have to do with anything? He was still there!

Yeah, kind of funny how people have blocked UCLA and Auburn out of their minds. Crompton made Worley look like John Elway in the first part of 2009.
