Info from TOS:

rod wilks is hitting hard and showing his unfathomable skills from his new place of residence, safety. he looked particularly good in the "tennessee" drill. says when you're surrounded by berry, rico and others, it makes you give a little extra - in his case, throwing his body around with reckless abandon.

says he's 6' 220lbs and that mark smith, aka 'black iron' is whipping them into shape with no carrot and a big stick named 'the ladder'. says nobody wants 'the ladder'.

on more mundane topics, toney williams is one nimble cat for 220 lbs and has impressed kiff with some things he's doing - laying licks, moving around like a little guy.

also, hardesty feels extremely healthy and is really comfortable with the run scheme - same as his h.s. says alot of the guys put in time to learn the system before they hit the field.

Especially with Volnation users. I never knew who he was until I got on here and saw all the jokes...errr, facts about him

What's the obessession on this site with Wilkes? It would be interesting if Williams, a three star recruit, became Ut's starter next year over Brown, Hardesty, Creer or Oku. I HIGHLY doubt it, but so far it appears he is really turning some heads.

j wilkes booth shot our 16th president. wilks is the omnipotent vol safety poised to strike a crippling fear in the hearts of sec opponents this fall.

what's "the ladder"?

i would guess it's either an excruciatingly painful weight / fitness machine or a grotesquely difficult exercise / conditioning routine - either case masterminded by the brutally efficient s & c guru known to some as 'black iron'

I'm just glad that we have so many good rbs. So they can still be running downhill in the 4th.

I think he'll be our "lendale white" big back for us. He looked really good at the friday practice.

Don't be surprised if Williams gets a lot of carries.

Wanted to see your opinion of this kid. I went to the open practice and was surprised by this kid. I thought would have been a power only guy. But he looks pretty damn nimble and quick, in practice.
