The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

Was on nights for 3 1/2 years then moved to days after the birth of my son (7 months now 😳) huge difference but love being on a normal sleep schedule and spending the evening after work with the fam.

That's what I'm looking forward to the most. Having a normal sleep schedule, a "normal" life and social life now.

Worked 8pm-8am for 4.5 years. My body now produces too much adrenaline on occasion. It would do so in the past where I was so exhausted to keep me going and now it’s irregular. It’s under control for the most part but it sends me into similar symptoms of a panic attack. I wish nights on no one.

Dammit I remember when you took that job and it doesn’t seem that long ago

The trick is to not have a social life lol

Its certainly easier when you dont have a wife or kids to worry about. I actually like night shift okay, but it would be a complete pain with a family at home.

Working night shift, especially if you have to work weekends, makes a social life non-existent. I love working nights, but I hate the social life aspect, or lack thereof.

My cousin worked a 6 week day/night schedule. Every 6 weeks it flipped. He never knew if he was coming or going most of the time.

I worked night shift about 4 months and felt like I was constantly out of the loop with my family (I was 21). I hated it and trying to sleep during the day (like an actual 8 hours) was a bitch.

I could not imagine doing the every six weeks flip situation. I’d kill myself

I can only imagine how unhealthy it must be for the body as well
