you don’t get a lot of win or go home games in professional baseball - that’s a huge element for the wbc. Built-in urgency/edge of your seat excitement. It’s game 7 every night.

I think the Braves try to make Grissom a super utility player while making sure that Shewmake rakes on a consistent basis.

This makes sense to me in a vacuum but evidence would suggest Arcia is not going to hit on a consistent basis either. Shewmake is 25. Throw him out there and see if it sticks

Neutral site games are such a played-out thing.

Granted, they're having to replace the 2024 Oklahoma game on short notice. But can we not play them next year, either at Neyland or in Raleigh, and then play it at the other location within the next 4-5 seasons? If I'm going to that game and it isn't at Neyland, I'd rather just play it on their campus than in Charlotte.
