One important aspect though is that they are, indeed, the Mets

They looked unbeatable for the next decade when they had Harvey, Syndergaard, deGrom, and Wheeler as prospects. The only one of those 4 that went "according to plan" was deGrom; each of the others have had issues to varying degrees.

They're the Mets, and something bad will happen and/or they'll find a way to screw it up.
