Tony Vitello failed to make Omaha with a team that was in the conversation as the greatest college baseball team of all time. The postseason is a crap shoot in baseball. It just is.

It was simple. Bryce one time through. Any trouble and you pull him going second time through. That’s the game. Harper right there. You have a fully rested bullpen.

It’s incomprehensible that not only did he leave him in, he PITCHED TO HIM. That’s malpractice. That’s being a moron. Anytime the front office can’t hold his hand, he routinely ****s up because he thinks it’s 1992.

This isn’t “crap shoot happens” in baseball. This is malpractice with a moron who can’t manage a game of checkers, let alone understand win probability and second time through.

If we were up 2-0 in the series, I got no (well, less of an) issue with Tonkin in that spot but this was just begging for a bigger deficit.

And not only did the moron leave Elder in to face Harper, he then leaves Bryce in for TWO MORE BATTERS, AND THEN WITH RUNNERS ON he puts in his WORST RELIEF PITCHER. HIS WORST ONE. IN A 4-1 GAME.

It’s not hard to manage a baseball team. And once again, just like 2019, here we are screwed and going to lose
