Against any NL team? They took an All-Star team to 6 games last year, and Game 5 and Game 6 were close games. Almost as good as the Braves played them.

Like @zjcvols said you can't run 9 Paches out there (or even 3), but if he plays great defense at a premium defensive position it can work. If he hits .200, then it's a problem, but does anybody think he'll be that bad?

Old habits die hard.

But I trust the guys who watched him in the minors every day. I certainly didn't.

Lot of posts in here I’d like to address but short on time today

The thing that’s being overlooked is that Pache has real offensive skills. Asking him to figure it out at the ML level has a real chance of cramping his future offensive output. You can win now with him hitting .240 or whatever he’s gonna hit. But do you want to turn him into a lifetime .260 hitter because you handcuffed yourself to the only other option being Ender Inciarte? Just because he’s the best option doesn’t mean he’s a good option, most importantly for his own development.
