The Atlanta Braves

Haven't followed it at all this year, but I assume something as usual like:

1. We have a pretty good but not overly great class right now
2. We're in on a bunch of committed- or leaning-elsewhere guys who like us and are getting our hopes up
3. Ultimately most if not of those guys will make a business decision to go with the other school instead of our rebuild
4. Leaving us feeling disappointed and underwhelmed with the decent class of guys we do have

How far off am I?

Spot on with "good but not overly great"

We may actually grab some solid guys not previously committed, though. Potentially four, I think.

Most of what beef brings to the table is chewiness rather than flavor. I like a good ribeye or burger every now and again by but and large most of the meat I use in my own cooking comes from a pig.

Bison steaks are pretty fantastic if you've got a butcher nearby that deals in them.

I do use a lot of pig. Bison is something that I've always heard is fantastic but have never had it before. One thing I do like doing for a flavor/more fat is doing a 50/50 mix of beef and venison. Kinda takes away some of the healthy part of venison but gives just enough fat in it.

Looks like it's coming down to the Braves and Nats for Donaldson. While it wouldn't be a idea situation to hand a 34 year old a 4 year contract I think there are other points to consider. Not only would signing JD make the Braves stronger it would also make the Nats weaker. Also we wouldn't have to trade any prospects to fill the hole at 3B and those prospects could later be used to acquire a big OF bat or SP if needed.

What’s weird is the ownership let’s the football do their jobs. William Clay Ford was never accused of interfering or anything. That whole family literally can’t hire the right people. It’s amazing.
Yeah. I think if winning were a higher priority, they might hire different people.

Of course "commitment to winning" isn't always a good thing. I don't think anybody would deny Jerry Jones's desire to win, but it leads him to become too involved in something he doesn't know a lot about and make bad decisions that he should leave to someone else.

Signing Donaldson to a 4 year deal almost guarantees that we see Camargo/Riley at 3B coming soon. Donaldson’s Age and history tell us so.

In light of Maurer gf flaming him up on various social media forums, can someone please tell his dad, brother, etc (if @GAVol actually wants me to believe it isn’t himself) that continually posting on a message board is a bad look
