I honestly do believe Pruitt can coach. That’s the difference between him and Jones. I believe that both can and will (did) recruit well.

Pruitt has to surround himself with the right supporting staff or he’ll end up like Jones did. And the cycle will continue.

I can't disagree with any of this. The problems on this roster are two fold. It's a combo of recruiting misses and zero development once they got on campus. We have to have a little bit of blind faith that "the next guy" is gonna figure it out. Hopefully, that guy is Pruitt, but it's too soon to say on that definitively. He certainly needs more to work with. The unknowns are (1) can he recruit them and (2) can he develop them and (3) can he have a good game plan. I'm pretty sure on one, optimistic on two.....

I am pretty confident the defense will be fine in a couple years under him. Not so much about the offense. I told Mrs Verc the day he was hired that his success will depend entirely on whom he hires to run the offense. We’ve seen nothing encouraging from that side at all so far, although the OL is so bad that for me Helton almost gets an incomplete. We need to make a godfather offer to Sam Pittman.

The O-line woes confuse me as to how much blame to lay at the feet of Helton.
