The All Things Poonification Thread

Here's a hypothetical Luther. Your daughter comes to you 26 weeks pregnant with your grandchild, thus far a perfectly healthy fetus, and says, "Dad, I want an abortion." Keep in mind, at 26 weeks, the baby has a chance to live outside the womb. You good with her decision? Early term abortion is one thing, late term abortion another. This isn't a typical pro-life/pro-choice discussion IMO.
Nope, at 26 weeks I would do all within my power to convince her to keep it.

Now on the other hand, if she told me the doctor informed her (and she got a second and third opinion) that she had a condition that put her at 80% risk of dying if she continued her pregnancy, I would fight with every ounce of my being for her right to abort the fetus.

Also, if she came to me in devastation that something had gone wrong with her pregnancy and multiple doctors had told her that the fetus was not developing normally and would be a vegetable with no quality of life, I would fully support my daughter in whatever decision she made and would fight for her right to make that decision.

The truth is.......and we will never ever agree on this; Hillary was nowhere near what 25 years of right wing propaganda had convinced the masses on the right she was.

Lol @ propaganda. Her actions have spoken for her as a corrupt, despicable, self serving, immoral hag. That’s not propaganda.

That's the point of this entire conversation, Luther. Dems are pushing for full-term abortions. They are fighting against reasonable lengths.
What dem. is fighting for unquestioned late term abortions?

The left is putting no qualifications whatsoever on the laws they are passing/trying to pass in various states. Perfectly healthy fetuses/babies are subject to being killed up until birth. I agree that there are exceptions when a mother's life is in jeopardy, and I could be mistaken, but I thought laws already existed to that affect.

I have not seen any such legislation. If it's out there, I disagree and think it goes to far. If it's not out there, it's further proof of right wing propaganda playing on the most divisive, sensitive, and personal of issues.

The Reproductive Health Act, sponsored by Democratic state Sen. Liz Krueger, says that a health care practitioner "may perform an abortion when, according to the practitioner’s reasonable and good faith professional judgment based on the facts of the patient’s case: the patient is within twenty-four weeks from the commencement of pregnancy, or there is an absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patient’s life or health."

Just at a quick glance, I'm in agreement and think the right has propagandized and bastardized in the worst kind of way. A tactic I view as typical of the right.

I agree but you guys do it too. Both are wrong.

It is despicable when either side misrepresents (lies) the stance of the other side in order to divide and win votes.
Again, and to no one's surprise, I believe it is a practice used to a far greater extent by the right.

Oh please you all own the race card and scaring the elderly. How many times have you heard a Dem candidate claim the opposition wanted to take away SS or Medicare. It’s ridiculous. Hell just look into the scare politics used to help get ACA passed.

I hate being saddled with the opposite extreme no matter what the far right cause is.
They want a wall therefore I'm for open borders contented with the raping and murdering of people.
They are against abortions therefore I'm a baby killer.

Morally, he is a despicable person, IMO. People's opinions, of course, will differ. But being a despicable person has never been a disqualifier for being President.
JFK screwed a prostitute while in office. Clinton had sex with an intern while in office. I think they have us beat 2- 0 for morally despicable behavior while in office.

You need only go back to the Boehner shutdown to know that is not a scare tactic.

I mentioned a few topics. Which are you referencing?
The ACA. Just at the scare politics to do away with it. Also the R's have floated raising the SS age stating that it was bankrupting the country, Socialism,
