Bump. After a too long layoff this past winter, I’ve been road cycling the past four weekends ~20 miles each ride. Beginning to feel myself getting back into the groove. Last time out, did a moderately hilly route in my high gears. Felt good.

Only got in 14&1/2 miles this morning. About 8 miles out, encountered a rider even older than me. She had become confused about the route and pedaled in circles for 28 miles. I detached from my group to guide her to the campsite. She took off for Louisiana after breaking down her site. I wished her easy stages.

Hey, I trust y'all. My daughter is looking at this bicycle (a bike is a REAL bike.) Long story short, she needs one for the volunteer work she's doing. VA won't pay for it (don't blame them) bc it's not on their dime.I used to have a Trek mountain bike and had no probs with it. I don't understand hybrids. I will be bankrolling this to the tune of 600 plus, so I'd appreciate your input. Yay or Nay?
