1. Tennessee QB Josh Dobbs

The opponent: Florida in Knoxville
The skinny: The Vols aren’t going to beat Florida unless Dobbs plays well. He ran for 136 yards against the Gators last season but threw for just 83. The Gators are going to crowd the box in an attempt to slow the Vols’ powerful rushing attack and make Dobbs beat them with his arm. Florida loves to play aggressive man defense in the secondary; can Dobbs make enough big plays in the passing game? He threw for 203 last week against Ohio, which doesn’t sound like much until you consider it was just the eighth 200-yard game of his career. Will he throw downfield against the Gators? And it also will be interesting to see how many called quarterback runs there are for Dobbs on Saturday. The Vols have dropped 11 in a row to the Gators.

Dobbs can become a TN legend if he can snap this streak Sat

If they are going to play man they are making the wrong decision against our offense. Croom and Wolf slants over the middle and up the seam all day and sprinkle in some Malone on the outside on the go route. Our offense was meant to thrive against man. Let's hope we finally see it in action.

C'mon OL ... just give him 2.5-3 clean seconds to throw it cleanly!

Too bad we don't throw slants...

We can only hope they play man-to-man. We will eat them alive on 10-12 yard crossing routes and quick slants. They will have to adjust to zone at some point, and that is when our running game will take over.
