The 3-4 front is not working...

You have to have a nose tackle that takes up space and gets a double team. None of our guys demand a double team. They did start putting 4 guys at the line late, but they were gassed already from being on the field the whole second half. The 3-4 takes some time, we don't have the time or the personnel..

The best coaches adjust their scheme to their personnel. I guess you can do the square peg round hole deal. They do that for a reason, to attract the right recruits, i get it. I still would rather win now, that's just me. If you get the right guys it doesn't take as long anyway.

Let’s go back to that 4-2-5. Panthers would have tripled their rushing yardage.

If ou think the biggest problem on this team is the 3-4, I have a bridge on Rocky Top I want to sell you! Nothing works on this team! It's a CLUTURE PROBLEM that Pruitt has FAILED TO DEAL WITH.

Tennessee simply does not have the personnel or talent level for this scheme. Can’t hold the line of scrimmage and LBs lack talent.

If they don’t tweak the defensive line and front, it will be Sal Sunseri bad in league play.

never have liked the 3-4, and think we have no choice other than to go to 4-man front...doubt if we'll ever have personnel to run it...if so, it'll take 4-5 years of Top 10-15 recruiting to get there "Bama style"...:D

GO BIG ORANGE...BEAT BYU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about a traditional 4-3.. Maybe sneak another guy up there and make it 8. Make that runningback playing QB beat you with his arm. Just a thought.
Old 4-3 is dead...can’t even find it in the NFL. We have the bodies to run any scheme...just not the football smarts.

If you actually watch, you’ll see that the nose and one of the ends were double teamed nearly the whole game. They didn’t force a stalemate and got blown off the ball, but they were absorbing blockers nonetheless and the backers were not filling.

It was much better when the 4 big guys went backwards every play and the linebackers got there but bounced off the ballcarrier.

Pretty much the same problem we've had for several years. Our LB's are not good, not smart. Slow and misreads.

The personal weren't responding to much of anything. So a wholesale change was started from day one. In the case at hand "one time was as good as another".
