Whatever makes you feel better about our team this year. Before the game it was all “WVU defense is trash they struggled against Kansas” now that they waxed us it’s “oh they’re improved!!!!”

West Va D is improved. They brought in some Big Transfers that made a difference; and their emphasis all Spring and Summer was to Beef Up The D. Yes. They are NOTICABLY better. I didn't realize this until after the fact; otherwise I would have not been as optimistic about UT's Chances.

I see Vandy and Kentucky as W's simply because we have more talent and are not dragging the butch anchor around anymore. We lost those games from coaching and effort and not a lack of talent or scheme. That wont happen this years. With the 3 cupcakes, that would be 5 wins and I think we slip up and win one of USC, UF, Mizzou.

You’re assuming we won’t get any better by October. Our offensive line has only been together for 2 weeks and that was most of our secondary’s first collegiate action. Plus new systems on offense and defense. It’s unlikely that we won’t play better in October

I more or less agree with the Helton playcalling. We should have been up at the half. They still would have scored to open the third imo, but we would have kept it more honest if we had just played to win.

Agree as well. I like the direction they want to take the offense but Helton has to do a better job of calling the offense. Intermediate routes were open. Our WR's are good and we need to take advantage of that going forward. Jordan played well. Chandler is good. If the OL can gel then we can field a respectable offense. Play smart, have few turnovers, eat clock when they can the and hopefully this will keep some games close and we can steal one.
