Mulkey mentioned she played against 10 MAAs on the Gamecocks team this week in her after game presser. They can’t all go to South Cackalack.

And all of them don’t want to go to South Carolina.

Deniya Prawl and Jaida Civil could’ve went to any school they wanted and both were recruited by South Carolina.

Jaida Civil never posted much on visits and offers during her recruitment.

Deniya Prawl had offers from Tennesse, South Carolina, Duke, Notre Dame, UCLA, Baylor, and Louisville.

I think this summer with our returnees staying intact when our HS commits enroll in school we could potentially have 5 McDonald All-Americans on the roster.

That’s without knowing who we’ll land from the portal.

What we badly need is a couple of 4 and 5 players who can get offensive rebounds and hit lay up, as well as -play defense in the paint and block a few shots without fouling. There games we have lot this year were games in which their bigs overpowered or not so big four and five players. I we had hit half of our attempted put backs from offensive rebounds, we would probably be undefeated this year. Our teams has been amazing this year and I truly believe we will be contenders next year if we fall a little short this year. I haven't given up on this year, bur I realize the road will be tough.

That has more to do with the players on the court for essentially half of the game not being natural rebounders and less to do with size.
Tennnessee is not a small team. They just aren’t and in no way does every team we face have 6’5, 6’4, 6’2, 6’2, 6’1, and 6’0 on their roster.
The staff never plays Jillian and Lazaria in the front-court together. They rarely even play Latham with either Jillian or Lazaria.
Play certain players more on the current roster and I believe the rebounding numbers would improve.

Only the ones who are beating us and that is the primary reason they are beating us.

"Back to the Future" of the thread I always find in observing the McD games that the box score shows very few Assists, with that many guards the ball seldom arrives in the hands of forwards.

trivia how many McD are currently on the LV roster, or/versus Texas, SC and LSU?

January 23, 2024. USC had the most selections with three, while Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, Texas, UConn and UCLA each had two.

SC has 8 this year

Tennessee currently has three McDonald All-Americans on the 2024-2025 team.
LSU best player Morrow was not a McDonald All-American.
As for next season, as I stated we’ll find out tomorrow but Tennessee stands to gain multiple future All-Americans.
If all the LV current players return next season the gap closes.
This is prior to even seeing what 2 or 3 players specifically in the post that are added via the portal to the 2025-2026 roster.
