looks like there will be live streaming starting 9am tomorrow.

picks:Adam Scott/NickWatney

Tiger hasn't hit a golf ball since the Masters before this week... not sure why he's even bothering...

Watney's a good call. I'd like to see Bubba in the hunt through the weekend as well, just because you never know where he may be hitting his next shot from.

I don't even know why he was out there to begin with.

Supposedly he hustled up the clubhouse stairs 2 at a time after withdrawing for his achilles injury.

If he's going to quit, take a cue from Daly and just walk cross course through the gallery to the parking lot, no need to create an injury.

so let's see, every article I've read points to him limping around the course and wincing in what appeared to be pain after shots, yet I'm supposed to believe your "supposedly" theory with no links or photos to prove it? Please. I think the main forum of golfers on this site will back up that I am as far from a Tiger fan as you can get, but there's no way I buy your story. It would be plastered all over the media. Sadly, in this world it would overtake the UBL news and everything else politics.

Lick my taint dude. Heard it on the radio, never implied any verification.

Go hug a root.

Not that it matters any, but I saw the highlight of him leaving the course and climbing the stairs straight to his white Mercedes which was directly at the top of the stairs and he did take them a couple at a time and briskly at that, I don't know that it has any bearing on whether or not his injury was as bad as he let on though. Hurt or not, the dude was just ready to get out of there.

Re tiger, once a joint is invaded by surgery, it's never the same. Additionally, the torque from playing golf is more trying on the knee joint than other sports. Now, his achilles is hurting because he's walking different from the knee pain. I have had 2 acls, 5 knee cleanups, and an achilles tear on the same leg, imo, he's going to have to revamp his swing in a big way because he'll continue to have problems. He's not at a great age to recover from soft tissue damage.

Right now, I've got two partially torn ligaments in my ankle and an inflammed achilles. I zoomed up the stairs to my office just a few minutes ago. I can tell you though, that it would be difficult to make a good solid swing at it right now and it's been three weeks since my injury. I can't believe he played.

I played 36 holes, and walked the course at that, a week after having my knee scoped. If he was hurting and felt it best to withdraw, so be it. If he was just disgusted at how he played, he should man up and say so.
None of us were with him on the course so we don't know if he was in pain or not. We do have evidence his game was in the crapper though.

No you don't. He played great at the Masters, especially the last day. Shooting double digits under par over four days at Augusta isn't having your game in the crapper. That is the last time he has played before now, because of his injuries

YOu ever had an achilles injury? It's about 1000 times more painful than any kind of pain associated with reasons for having your knee scoped? How many surgeries have you had on your knee? Tiger has ruptured his achilles and several surgeries on his knee. Your injury is hardly comparable

Tiger needs to rehab the knee, and achilles..but the most important thing he needs is to go back to Butch

Why do people keep saying this? The last time we saw the guy in a competitive situation, he was swinging well, scaring the daylights out of the field and finishing top 5 in a major. His game looked fine to me.
