Ole Miss' recruiting haul today proves one thing for sure: elite-level players want to play with other elite-level players. Even though he wasn't officially committed, it was common knowledge that Nkemdiche was going to Oxford for 3 or 4 months now. That did more to aid in the Rebels' class than anything the coaches could say or anything that happened on the field. I think UT can make a similar splash next season, but we need everyone on board as quickly as possible. Wharton and Creamer are a good start, but if we could get TKJr, Bates, the Berry twins, and any others to go ahead and go public, that really increases UT's appeal and visibility with other '14 kids.

This time a year from now, we can be where OleMiss is today, but we need to get it started now.

The Ole Miss haul only proves one thing; money still makes the world turn.

"The '14 Legacies Need to Get on Board NOW!"

Why, so our insecure, self-loathing, deflated, inferior fanbase can start to heal after the atrocities that took place on this horrible National Signing Day?

Legacies or not, these kids love the attention to much to decide this early. The coaches are the ones that need to get on it!!

I already started a thread about our 2014 class being exactly like Ole Miss' class this year! Yep, we need to show the country that TN isnt playing around anymore and means business. By all of these blue-chip prospects jumping on board, especially together, it will instantly unite this program, its fanbase, our class ratings and put us back on the map the way Kiffin did! Sorry, but he did lol

I can assure you the critical targets for 2014 have already been contacted before today, and more than once. That being said, I agree the earlier we can get these guys on board the better. We also need to do everything possible to make sure UT is the last OV for the guys considered most critical to the 14 class. We absolutely CAN NOT let anyone still even 1 guy right before or on signing day. IMO, the 2014 class is going to make or break TN FOOTBALL through 2017 -2018.

So AU, aTm, Fla, USC...... none of those teams had any recruits lined up early because ALL of the recruits like the attention too much??

I recall going through all the top 250/300 player rankings for 2013 early last summer and finding that most had already committed.
