That is about as good of a loss as you can have

We shouldn't have even been in the game with that many turnovers but we were. So you can quit your b**ching now.

Agreed. These kids fought their butts off. The results weren't what we all wanted, but the effort was there. Grit, heart, soul...whatever you want to call it....this team has it. It reflects on the character of these kids and this staff. I was wrong about this team. They are for real. I'm proud of them. To do what they've done with the devastating injuries they've suffered is incredible.

On a separate note....if I'm coach Jones and/or the AD, I'm getting with the guys or gals who put this hellish schedule together and lay out some parameters. There has to be some control over spacing these top opponents out. It's simply wrong to put the team through a meat grinder of a stretch of games like this. Yes we get an easier run after Bama, but those will still be SEC opponents we have to face so it's no cake walk. I question if we'll have enough able bodies to compete at the rate injuries are piling up. The person who signed off on this schedule needs to be....well.....counseled in a most agitated fashion.

CBJ is not going anywhere now for the foreseeable future.
He's not great. Hell, He might not be a good coach but he's doing something right.
We are better top to bottom as a football team than we've been in 15 years.

I had a similar discussion with my wife yesterday. I admitted that Butch isn't the greatest tactician or coach but he reaches these kids. He's a good recruiter and his teams do play hard. We might be a consistent 7-9 win team with an occasional east division title, and we're not going to run with bama and osu consistently but the guy is the right fit for us. I don't like the offense, but I do like the grit and fire. After the last 10 years, I'll never complain about a winning season and bowl game again...no matter the record or bowl.

Moral victory U. Give me a break with these bull crap good loss posts. No such thing. You don't win ball games turning the ball over 8 times. And there are no good freaking losses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, but some losses are worse than others. Seeing a team quit is a bad loss. Seeing a team get blown out is a bad loss.

The loss yesterday, we saw a team overcome adversity on the road to make it a game. Yeah, they came up short, but you had to be proud of the effort they put in. If you can't see that, I don't know what kind of person you are.

I'm proud of how he's taught these kids to comport themselves, to compete, to show grit, and to never give up. Yes, he turns purple on the sidelines at times, but I've never felt he was as much of a buffoon as Muschamp. He yells at the refs, not his players. (And let's be honest, the refs yesterday had it coming.)

And I'm starting to believe you don't have to be the ultimate X's and O's guy if you can get your players to believe they can accomplish anything. Butch has his guys believing they can walk on water right now.

All I know for sure is I hate losing to a school with a bunch of prissy yell leaders. First time I have ever watched a complete game for A&M. And due to having to see that, I hate them more than Bama now. Even with Lane Kiffin.

We were picked to lose this game by everyone. They said if we got down at all we would get run out of the stadium.

Well not only did we not get run out of the building when we went down 21 points, we came back and looked damn good sending the game to overtime. This was despite our already thin lineup dropping like flies, and on top of it turning the ball over 7 times.

We looked better than A&M today and I am praying that we get them in the Dome. If we had to lose one, this was best case scenario

Im with ya.

I said if we had to lose one, this was the best case scenario. We lost to a higher ranked team, on the road, banged up, 7 turnovers, double overtime. Some people like to look on the bright side. You are obviously not one of them. Take a hike

Make some more excuses pal. You have fell and bumped your head.

If you think that our university is going to change coaches again anytime soon then you are not living anywhere near reality.

If I were you (I'd shoot myself) I'd start looking for signs that CBJ is improving. It might prevent you from dying of a stroke or heart attack
Who in the f said anything about firing butch? Now you are making sh!t up. What an idiot.

I wish the Internet was removed from trailer parks...especially after a UT loss. This board would be so much better.

I absolutely HATE that we lost the game!

I'm also so damn proud of our Tennessee footVol players that I could explode!

Most SEC teams, except alaBubba, could NOT have done what we've done with so many injuries to some of our very best players and more were injured during the game yesterday.

It's very doubtful that many teams could win with even 2 or 3 turnovers but we had seven, yes 7 turnovers, and we were able to comeback from 21 points down and damn near Won the game.

We still don't have the solid, experienced depth we need at all positions but our kids NEVER gave up and quit, they fought and competed their butts off.

We all wanted a undefeated season and losing sucks BUT, remember this...We ARE still in the drivers seat, we DO still have ALL our goals alive and in front of us.

We still CAN get the WINS the rest of the way, WIN the SEC East, WIN the SEC Championship and WIN the National Championship.

None of those goals are dead yet so we CAN still have a magical season.

A few short years ago before buTch got here we were in total misery and begging for 6 Wins to get back to a bowl game, ANY bowl game and now we ARE competing with some of the best teams in the country, NOT getting blown out by most everyone.

Stop your crying and whining!

Raise your heads up high.

Go get dressed in your Tennessee Orange and show your pride and support for our Tennessee footVol Team.

Without all those damned turnovers we WOULD have WON by 3 or 4 TD's against the undefeated 8th ranked team in the country and would probably be ranked in the top 5.

This season is not over and we can still achieve great things.

Sad we don't have a bye week to try to heal up some but this is alaBummer week and you can bet that whatever players we have healthy enough to play will fight to get the WIN and will never give up.

I'm damn proud of our kids and all of you should be too because the Losing mindset and culture of our Vols is dead and gone thanks to buTch and all our coaches.

Now lets go KICK some alaBubba (_)_)!!!

Team 120 will earn their respect and climb the rankings WIN by WIN...VFL...GBO!!!

Obviously no one should like 7 turnovers but only one could be contributed to the style of offense. Frankly, I like having the ability to run the ball on anyone you play and dominate most. The fact that Tenn has 1 consistent WR makes having a prostyle passing game impossible. And I don't miss have negative or minimal rushing yardage in big games
