Thanksgiving Day game tips...

Show the bait. Set the hook.
My personal favorite is a twin receiver set where the X runs a 5 yard cross and the Y runs a delayed Go route. The most portant part of the play being the X receiver falling to the ground after the cut and grabbing his knee in front of the most empathetic defender. The QB has a simple read... if the DB bites on the fake injury, he throws it deep. If the DB has seen the fake injury before, throw it even further and then run inside and eat dessert again.

The definition of “running a route” by the kids in my family is for every receiver to run a streak straight down the middle of the field, while simultaneously yelling for the ball, and impressively not even looking back. Makes this quarterbacks job tough man.

Then the one time you try to hit them in stride deep they cut the route off short when they should have had an easy touchdown 😡

Everyone used to come to my house to play football on thanksgiving back in school. We played football, no flags or 2 hand touch. This guy named Jason was running the ball, and came at me with his head lowered to plow me over. I just headlocked him, and give him a ddt. I'm talking real ddt like back in the day when wrestling was real!😆 It ended up causing a fight which ended with my dad coming out and whipping me in front of everybody. He had seen what I done, plus I threw the first punch, and used some language that was a big no no. Worst thanksgiving football game in my history, but it's hilarious now.

GO VOLS...BEAT VANDY!

AKA the good ole days or back in the day or way back in the day.

Recently moved from the “big city” to a small town, it’s still hard making the adjustment letting the little chugs run around like I did growing up.
