This morning, those working at McDonald's accidentally gave me an apple pie in place of a hash brown with my #8.

Advantage: me.

I hate Mcdonals. Havent been there since like 95

I wish I could say the same. Everytime I eat lunch or dinner from that God forsaken place, I feel miserable for 2 days.

Although, I can stomach an occasional egg mcmuffin - hard to screw that up.

Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes, the bear eats you.

The boy was born two years ago in January, during Atlanta's last real ice storm. I was more or less marooned in the hospital for three days. The only thing food available to non-patients -- in a hospital! -- was a McDonald's. Two or three meals a day for three days.

I haven't eaten there since.

You would think that they would provide you with a more healthy option in a hospital.

No kidding. There was a cafeteria right next to the McDonald's, but between it being a weekend and the ice storm, it was closed every single time I went looking for food. They kept that McDonald's open 24/7, though.

I've only been to Micky-D's once since watching "Supersize Me."

V, I also found it stragely paradoxical that my Residency hospital in Tampa had a McDonald's right at the entrance. You could smell the "fries" about 2 floors up and throughout the elevators. Just didn't seem right to walk by "Heart Healthy Month" signs on your way to an MI in a Sack. We used to joke that the Cardiologists and Thoracic Surgeons owned the franchise.

It's kind of amazing that so many hospitals have allowed a McDonald's on-site -- the cardiologist jokes come just a little too quickly to mind. I guess McDonald's threw an enormous amount of money at the hospitals in order to sell burgers and fries to a captive audience. Still, you can't help but feel like there's something messed up about the American health industry when the only food you can get in a hospital is McDonald's.

When I fail to finish two miles in under 13 minutes, then I might begin to pay attention to what I eat.
