I just wanted to thanks Coach Kiffin for remembering vets. For any of you that havent served during a war, things like pride in your alma mater (or just your favorite team) really helps esprit de corps. Its nice to have something like football to hang on to when you are away. Thanks Coach we appreciate you too. :salute:

This head coach is soooo...busy, but still has time to remember the men and women that protect or have protected our great country! Ain't it great to be a TN VOL!

A great big HOOOAH to all the men and women who currently serve and those that have defended our freedom in the past. We don't honor you guys and gals enough.

Proud to be a Vol but even prouder to be an American!

HOOAH!! Served at anytime is a price to pay and an honor! I had enough rounds on me in a C130 to take Grenada by myself and was scared out of my mind and at the same time I was ready to fight a pit bull...crazy!

Anybody that serves at any time in the military has the distinct and unique opportunity to allow the President of the United States to draw a line at the end of his/her boots and be asked to defend that line with their lives. Thanks to all vets who served honorably no matter branch of service during peacetime or at war.

I wonder if any other school has retired the numbers of players killed during a war as UT has?
