Six decades....well, if you made it through the mike price era then i guess you've earned your stripes.

Boone's a great city and you played a great game. Classy post.

I wanted to say thanks to all of you who offered a warm welcome on the board and were willing to talk level-headed football. Obviously, I'm proud of how my Mountaineers (a school I adopted when our younger son enrolled there in 2005) played Thursday and wish we'd ended up with the W.

I'd encourage those of you close to the edge to hold off on jumping just now. UT definitely has the talent to win plenty of games this season. I hope you see a few personnel shuffles and play calling improvements to facilitate the winning.

I'll be pulling for you to win the rest of your games with the exception of the third Saturday in October...

This grandma has had a great time - on this board, in K-town, and in Neyland. The memories will not be forgotten anytime soon. If you ever make it across the mountain to see a game in Boone, let me know. I'd be delighted to treat you to some fine tailgating in the stadium lot.

Best of luck to you all. Go Vols! Beat VT!
Great post. For several years I have pulled for Appy St. especially since living in Tri Cities. Boone is a very beautiful place. I would love to see Miami game but taking 4 year old daughter to her 1st game vs Ohio that same day. I actually think Appy St will probably win the rest if they stay healthy and play at same intensity they played Saturday. Good luck to a great season.

Thanks for a very classy post. Now, can we have Dale Jones back? He is a VFL and a Vol legend and should be coaching in Knoxville. For those under 35, he was one of the best LBs and hardest hitting defensive players to wear orange.

Thanks for stopping in. You all keep the faith, your program is the real deal despite what knuckleheads think.
