Thank You Seniors

Seniors,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being VFL's. You came in under one coach and stayed the course through a rough coaching search. The Schiano debacle, the hire of Fulmer and finally the hire of Pruitt. You came to Knoxville and stayed through the tough times and it paid off. All of you have been "taught" how to play football at a higher level and for some of you it will mean the opportunity to play in the NFL. For those of you who do not make the NFL I want to let you know that you will not be forgotten, you will forever be in our hearts because you came to Knoxville and gave your all for the university we all love. For those of you who do make the NFL, we know you will represent the Vols as great players but also as ambassadors for Tennessee.

Thank you for giving me hope for the future and that Tennessee can once again be feared by every team on our schedule. Seniors, you saved our season when things could have spiraled out of control. Every one of you are the very definition of a winner. Never let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve your goals, you have already proven them wrong.

Thank you again for renewing my hope for the future of Tennessee football.

The seniors have been thru hell during most of their career but they fought thru adversity and never gave up leading the team to 6 straight wins and a bowl win after two years without a bowl. They have laid the foundation for the next class I think and to continue winning. I salute the seniors y’all rock
