I’m glad you enjoyed your trip to Pittsburgh. We take a lot of pride in our city and, at least me personally, I thought it was cool that a new fanbase got to visit it for the first time. Safe travels back to Tennessee.

I agree wholeheartedly. I took my family to the game and we had a great experience. Every Pitt fan we spoke with was excited to watch a good game. Gracious, welcoming fan base. We had a wonderful time in Pittsburgh. Thank you, Pitt, for welcoming us. You have a heck of a team. I hope all the injured players heal quickly and best of luck to you this season.

That was definitely not the case tonight. They had so many injuries and most didn’t come back into the game. They were legit hurt. Not like Ole Miss hurt

Yea, on one drive they had two defensive linemen go down and I thought it might be a strategy. But one of them never returned to the game (ankle) and the other returned later only to have to leave the game for good later. Pitt has played two very physical games and is pretty beat up right now. They need a couple of tune up games to get healthy.

I have been super impressed with Pittsburgh and their fan base. Friendly, engaging, and had quite a few shake my hand right after the game ended.

Sounds like their fans are classier than their coach - what a whiner. Dude needs to grow up and accept that referees are bad and missed calls are part of the game that go both ways. Learn to deal with it and shut your trap

Had a great time. First time in Pittsburgh - great city. We had multiple Pitt fans come sit down with us before the game and just want to chat all things football and UT which was great. Everyone was friendly. The casino was the only unfriendly thing in the town.

Respectfully, our players did not “fake” injuries today. I understand that might be a common occurrence with your offense, but we had several players go down with legitimate injuries when we needed them on the field the most.

Also, since we’re on this subject, I was disappointed to hear Tennessee fans boo Bentley’s injury in the first half, though I understand they do not represent the great Volunteer fanbase as a whole.

Ole Miss did a mind___ on our fanbase, we think everyone is faking now, even when they aren’t.. they kind of ruined it for everyone lol.. Normally we clap when players get up and leave the field on both sides of the ball.. even more reason to despise OleMiss lol.. we know who to blame and it rhymes with Riffen

That’s not true. They had a drive where it happened 2 or 3 times almost consecutively. There’s no way in hell they were all injured. How many injury timeouts did Tennessee take? I’ll answer it for you NONE

I saw several that were extremely dubious. It’s preposterously unlikely that everyone one of their injuries was legitimate. Go back and watch it.

I don't know about yall, but the Pitt players and their fans seem to be nothing but class acts. Very impressed with their fans here and the dialogue on panther lair. I think their players are tough, play the game the right way, and represent their university the way it should be done.

I didn’t register one injury that looked fake. We can’t sit here and assume every team is faking injuries. I absolutely HATE when our fan base boos injuries, fake or not. Not everyone has context, and it makes us look horrific. I get that Ole Miss and Purdue were doing it relentlessly, but if we just calmed down and let the rest of college football notice, we would be better off. Did you witness the car flipping incident with Kentucky after the Florida game? Nobody wants that look. I love that our fans are insane, but unless it’s blatantly obvious, we need to stop hyper focusing on injuries.

There's a lady from Pittsburgh that did a lot of Pittsburgh sport paintings. Check out her website Paints by Kait. She did one of Johnny Majors a few years ago of him riding the shoulders of Pitt players. She's a sweetheart and has done 2 paintings for me ... one of our little dog and one of our granddaughter. She moved to Seattle as her hubby is Navy but her heart is still in Pittsburgh.

We never used to big boo birds, and I have never heard us booing an injured player before😂 this is fallout from Ole Miss and Purdue.. we think everyone is doing it now (the flop).. but I think we were just playing that rough.. it will dissipate..(especially at home games) not too worried

This has been a fun trip. Got to see lots of family and of course a win. The vast majority of Pitt fans were welcoming, hospitable and classy. Several spoke to me after the game and engaged the conversation, even at dinner after the game. Fun town and great sports town. Now, if the Pirates will ever get good.....

Agree. Still here on Sunday and will fly home on Monday. Went to the Pirates/Cardinals game, saw a great college game-GBO-, had great time interacting with fellow Tennessee fans, and enjoyed some wonderful food and beer. Thank you Pittsburgh for a memorable, fun trip.

I get it. Whiskey makes me mean too. But Pitt played a tough game and after this series I have no ill-will towards them. Plus I want our wins to be good. If Pitt goes out and finishes the season poorly then it makes our win look weaker. I’ve always had a little pride in us being the “good guys” and being Volunteers. We do have a friendly yet passionate fanbase. But if it’s Bama, Jawja, or UF—-f’em….except for the couple UF posters on the board— Lawerence and Gatorlaw are pretty cool.
