Thanks for all of your hard work coach and good luck at your next stop (unless you play us).
Josh Dobbs and other players speak your praise and you were part of the resurgence of my beloved Vols and that is enough to make me appreciate you.
So again coach, thank you.
Go Vols

Going to miss his dominating offense. All of our losses except for the 10 we scored on Alabama was 21 or more.

I have a feeling when we finally hire his replacement most of the fans are going to ticked and call for Butch's head.

I'm glad Debord is getting another gig, for him but mostly for us. Without Dobb's ability to improvise we probably were a 6-7 win team at best. A new OC could mean sorely needed improvements in the area of line play, QB coaching, and maybe even strength and conditioning.

I laugh at people like you. You complain that the guy leaving sucked even though he coached a record setting scoring offense.
People like you (don't know if you did or not but your fellow Butch/De Bord suck crew) cried the last 2 years that Dobbs sucked and QD should start. We set a record scoring and now because it helps your agenda, Dobbs is the reason Debord got anything done.

Sorry Ms. Debord - please don't get hysterical. I did say I was glad Mike got a new gig. And I never said he sucked nor have ever said a mean thing about him. Take a midol and go lay down, okay? Come back when you're feeling better.

Except for defensive injuries, we probably would have been at least 11-2.

That's a given.

Noted that is was not a so called "nega vol" that raised the issue.

CPF was on Ainge's show this a.m. and said without Dobb's athletic ability we may have only won 5 games this year. Those were his exact words, fwiw. Agree or disagree, but he is probably a pretty good judge in most people's opinion. Again, no disrespect to the missus..

To me it would be hard to argue that we might not have won more than 5-6 games every year for the last 4 years if it were not for Dobbs. Hopefully we dont find that out next year

I wonder if Phil had Dobbs if he would have won more than 5 games in 2008?

Without Dobbs's athletic ability Debord wouldn't have had over 20 different run plays drawn up for him, Debord wouldn't have bothered with double moves late in games because the protection wasn't going to miraculously get better, and Debord wouldn't have installed a scheme reliant on RPO with a QB draw as the run.

Basically he wouldn't have tried this offense with a less athletic quarterback. That's obvious even if you don't know the difference between an outside zone and a toss sweep.

Preach on brother! I don't go on other teams boards but we have to be the dumbest fan base don't we?

Again, thanks for the putrid output at Vandy and USC.
