Just to let everyone know, the Lord still answers prayer. Tawnee and I received a great report from the Doctor yesterday. The baby is growing perfectly (actually her growth is one week ahead of schedule). They are now saying that she does not have to have a C-section, that she can go into labor naturally. The not so good news is that due to the blood thinners she cannot have an epidural. She has to deliver the baby sans pain medication. They are also planning for Tawnee to have surgery to clean out the vein very soon after delivery. So recovering from that surgery and caring for a newborn is going to be interesting (the Lord is my strength). We are not completely out of the woods with regard to the blood clot (it extends from her hip to her ankle), but things are looking much more positive. I am a firm believer that this is due to God honoring all of your prayers. I cannot thank you enough and please do not stop now. Every day I take a moment and thank God for Teen Challenge and the body of believers.

Rexvol I'm a recent first time dad (daughter is 15 months) and I know the uncertainty and hope you feel about a new child. It sounds like you have had to deal with some of the "worst case" scenarios. I would like you to know I will be praying for you. Best of luck to you and yours.

The lamaze classes for natural child birth would have been nice to have had.

awesome news rex. praise God. we had our first almost exactly a year ago. 36 hours of labor and the doctor says there is a problem. the room fills up with other doctors and med students. im close to a nervous breakdown. i walk into the bathroom and prayed. 20 minutes later, i was holding my little girl. granted, there was alot more involved before and after she was born, but no need to go into deets. just want you to know that the Lord answered my prayers in a time of crisis, and will be with you also.

Rex great to hear of the good news about your baby and wife. I know she wanted an epidural, I would think they would be able to give her something else for the pain during labor.

Thanks be to God! And thank you for the update. My wife had both of our children through Lamaze and didn't have any pain killers either time. Hopefully your wife will be as fortunate. I know prayer works, 16 years ago my Father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, including a positive biopsy test, and given 3 months to live. Three days later the cancer was gone. I had rarely prayed since I was a kid, but I prayed every moment I could for those three days, to include promising God I would work for Him from then on. Many others prayed as well. Please excuse me if I have presumed too much of anyones indulgence, but I get an unresistable urge to relate this miracle at certain times.
