I've said many times you shouldn't judge a coach too much on Year 1.

That said, Sark inherited a very talented team. No excuse to be 4-7 right now. He was a mediocre coach at Washington. Couldn't handle it at USC. Why did so many people think he was going to be a wild success at Texas?

Judging by the performances from Sark and Butchie this season, the Nick Saban Head Coach Rehabilitation Program appears to be suffering a bit of a setback. I suppose not even Saban can make chicken salad out of chicken .

Saban is smart; he knows exactly what every coach is good at and uses them that way. He knew Sark was a great OC and Butch was great at carrying clipboards and washing his car.
