Colonial Downs I just heard has a weekly Texas Hold'em tourney on Fridays. Not even sure what the details are, the webpage didn't offer much information. Just wondering when Cherokee is gonna get smart and start getting some poker rooms/tournaments in there.

Cherokee is the worst place ever.

Until they legalize alcohol on the Cherokee reservation they will never have live gambling.everything is computerized except the live chip dealer on blackjack tables

Is it the reservation that is reluctant to legalize it or is it the state or N.C.?

It's the reservation. But there are also many counties in Western NC that are just dry counties period.

True i worked there when the casino was under construction years ago and you had to drive to bryson city to get beer also there was alot of talk back then about bally's building there also and as some of you might not know the cheerokee indians recive to checks a year from the tribal gaming commission
