Texas game a nooner

We aren’t beating Texas
Right why even play the game? Maybe send third string out for game experience since we will lose anyway. I mean why take a risk of injury to starters since we have no chance?

In the SEC all teams have talent. Any team is beatable on any given Saturday.

I'm predicting a Tennessee win and will not say it will be an upset.

So take your negative energy elsewhere, Vols will be ready.

GO BIG ORANGE!!

Our offense can score against anybody. Especially at Neyland.
Our offense hasn’t been really great or the same since Golesh left, we were bad against Vandy and OU last year and those games were at Neyland, 7-6 or 8-5 this year is my prediction too many question marks especially on defense and QB. We should be much improved in 2027 and challenge for a playoff spot. A 8-4 regular season would be a damn good year in 26 looking at our schedule which is the toughest Heup has ever had and 9 SEC games now.

I’m pretty sure Neyland will be rocking regardless of what time it is. They play the Michigan/OSU game at noon all the time. Simply means we’ll be the biggest game on TV at the time and draw all the ratings. If anybody is at a disadvantage it’s Texas. Not only is it an early game but there is also a time change they have to adjust to. It’s the conference opener so I fully expect Neyland to be ruthless. Especially in the 2nd half

I don’t think the schedule is close to the hardest he’s had at Tennessee. We played UGA, Bama, Fla + a rotating West team for decades. We got Texas, Bama, A&M, & LSU this year. We gotta get the games at Neyland. We are more talented than everyone else on the schedule. There are questions at QB and a new defense. I don’t believe the defense can be worse than last year. I also believe whomever plays QB has an unbelievable supporting cast. We have a top 5 SEC Offensive line, top 5 RB, & Top 5 WR core.

I feel confident in this team. I don’t know what’s gonna happen at quarterback, but whoever it is will have a great supporting cast around him, and our defense (especially Linebacker and Safety) has depth, something that killed us last year and in 2022. Our defense will be ready to play against Texas. Our front 7 will shut down their running game and force Arch to step up in a hostile Neyland Stadium environment. If our offense can come to play then it’s going to be a fun time

Doesnt Heupels teams play better in the morning anyway?
Plus, a young QB who is getting his 1st start against a really good SEC team (yes, GT on the road is a quality start) doesn't need all day for it to get into his head. Let Arch going into Peytons home stadium have that.

I don’t think we are more talented than everyone else on the schedule. I do think Texas has a talent advantage (3 potential first rounders). But we can definitely compete with anyone, especially if our defense is better.

We need to be able to handle a Texas front 7 (Colin Simmons, future first rounder) in both the run and pass blocking scenarios.

I think the Texas game is such an important inflection point. They’re title favorites along with Oregon, Notre Dame and Ohio State.

We need to prove we can hang and win against the elite.

While I agree that I don’t think we are more talented, I think we have more depth. And I think that will take us a long way

Hopefully the rowdies wake up early enough to get a little sauced before kickoff. Gonna need the fans to be extra crazy that day.

Yeah IIRC the LSU game in Baton Rouge was a noon game and we obliterated them straight off the bus lol

You don’t think we’re more talented than Furman, Kennesaw St, Ga Tech, USCjr, KY, Vandy, Ark & Auburn?? I expect to win all of those games because I believe we’re the better team.

IMO there are 4 games that will make or break the season and 3 of them are in Neyland. Texas, Bama, LSU, @ A&M. We need 2 of those games.

The Texas game will be big because we “should” be 3-0 going into that game. If you could win or keep it real close to the end you’re probably favored in every game after except A&M

some of yall giving to much credit to Josh H. lol. His best win is Alabama in neyland. Other than that. Idk.
Yeah, what Tennessee coach couldn't Bama twice in 3 years? That's a gimme for Tennessee. A win in Gainesville, easy peazy for the Vols. Running LSU fans off early in the 3rd quarter in Baton Rouge, any coach with a pulse can do that.
