I feel like Urban is done coaching in the same sense Stoops is. Both seem content on being done with the game. I’d be surprised if Urban takes another job. Guy just looks like crap these days.
Conscience killing him

There are few certainties in life. Death, taxes and Urban Meyer winning football games are among them.

Urban would win a natty by year 3 at Texas then get burned out and fake a heart attack by year 5 or 6. Great coach but don’t him expect to stay longer than 5 or 6 seasons then you get the drama on the side with him all the players getting in trouble at Florida and the Zach Smith domestic issues at OSU but the dude is one of the top 3 coaches in the last 20 years no doubt.

Urban is completely happy doing what he wants now.... Great Fox analyst, Ass't AD at OSU., is opening his 2nd restaurant in Columbus, and most importantly his wife Shelley adamantly wants to stay home + no pressures on him anymore... He has got nothing to prove anymore as he already is guaranteed HOF coach. Also, he has already gone on ready as saying that Mickey Marotti (strength and conditioning coach) and Mark Pantoni (Recruiting director) will be a big part of the deal as they have been his two most important and influential associates during his career.... They have already said they are staying with Ryan Day..

How many losses to OU before his health becomes a concern?

Some of our resident Gators have insinuated Shelley would very much like Urban to be home more often than not rather than say having opportunities to spend time with girls in Gainesville or Austin.

We are talking about Texas fans here. They are even more delusional than we are.

Remember a couple of years ago when they said they could just "buy out Saban and he'd come to Texas."?

Well they aren’t wrong but they are wrong. They’ve got plenty of fat cats with wells full of money to chase to championship.

The list of jobs he would take is not very long IMO. It may just be Texas and USC
I would say that’s about right.
Why take anything but the top tier schools.
He’s won a Natty in the SEC, Big 10.
Top 3 coach in the NCAA, including employed or unemployed.
He can choose where he wants to go.
Had a little break, probably ready for 1 more run

For someone like him its about the path to the playoffs. Main reason why he will stay away from the SEC.

Whoever gets him (if he comes back) will pay him plenty.

It was the reasoning they justified their idiocy with.

"He'll come here because we're Texas and have the best recruits and can win a championship at a third school... our heritage, blah, blah."

Should sound a bit familiar.

Kinda like how Fulmer can bring Tennessee back?

No doubt. Although she probably doesn’t want him home when she’s banging one of his assistants....

Several years ago, after that title game against Notre Dame, he did almost come to Texas. He stayed and that ship sailed, but he did almost leave in early 2013.

I'm not sure about that. A portion of our fanbase believes if there's a coaching change, we'll be competing for NCs in year one.

I think we should consider Harman. We seem to do pretty well with Tejas sloppy seconds.
