Ehhh. One of those things we’d love if it was going our way. Everyone loves the pic of Gaulden flipping off the Bama fans. Not saying I like it but it is what it is. Don’t give up double digit sacks and then you can worry about the other teams celebrations.
I have a blow up poster of him flipping off the Bama fan in my tennessee man cave

Texas AD Chris Del Conte apologizes for inappropriate player celebrations, says they 'cannot happen again'

So what? He apologized. What is he going to do about it? I'll bet that jackass won't miss one snap.

Buddy I’m not sure what kind of childhood you lived, but when I was 18-20 the bigger the crowd the dumber I got. Not excusing it by any means. But I do get it.
Think that’s a you problem. I may have played harder the bigger the crowd but I certainly didn’t get “dumber” and hurt my team with my antics.

Well then Chad I guess you were just perfect. Hate this for you, but this won’t be the first or the last time some 18-20 year old does something stupid on a sports field. I don’t blame him much considering he made our line look like peewee. You don’t want the other team chirping? Play better than them.

How’d you feel about gaulden giving fingers to the crowd? Were you advocating for the death penalty when banks “told cops what they did to them in Memphis”? Or is this just bc it’s a team that just embarrassed us?

To be clear, the Texas AD wasn't apologizing to Vol fans. He apologized in a publication that goes out to Longhorn boosters and fans. The same folks he's got to ask for NIL $$$.

He doesn't give a rat's patootie how we feel about the incident.....

My reply was to your stupid take about yourself. As for your non related questions I’m not for anyone doing something stupid that hurts their team, even more so if it’s one of our guys being stupid and hurting the team. But keep doubling down bro

It’s a snapshot of this generation. Kids constantly trying to catch attention with gestures.

It’s disgusting what they did. So yeah if the AD was sorry he would suspend them a game.

And what pisses me off me the most is that Heupel wasn’t good enough to make them pay for it with his class 3A in South Dakota HS play calling!!
I would love to see a first down without some kid getting up and pointing.

Ahh yes. I feel so ignorant for doing 18 year old things when I was 18. Shame on me.

Am I the only one who fails to see this as a big deal? Not saying it was right but... who cares? All us rednecks had the Calvin pissing on something sticker on our cars 25-30 years ago (screw you, Jeff Gordon! Raise hell and praise Dale!)

Again, not saying it was right, classy, etc. I'm just saying it doesnt make the guy the worst person ever. He was a 20 YO that did a stupid thing. He'd still be my number 1 pick off the board if I needed an edge rusher. I'm more offended that he did that an not one of our O linemen got pissed off enough to retaliate and shut him up.

Like I said. It was great for your team when we acted out, but not so good when it’s not your team.

I don’t like it from either team, I’m just level headed enough to say both are wrong for it. You’re arguing and excusing for gaulden due to an “emotional pic 6”. Well 5 sacks in one game against what is supposed to be a good SEC team can be argued to be pretty rare as well.
I didnt like either, youre reading what you want into it. I'm saying both were wrong but the Texas guy had planned this skit out somewhere in his dorm as did the other back... Shooting the bird is bad but it is done all the time on the spur of the moment, again so you will know I'm not saying what Gaulden did was good or I liked it was sad. I'm just saying they are totally different and for you to conflate them is a stretch. This guy practiced this skit. Both are sad but the Texas guys was vulgar and sad to let kids that worship him and wear his jersey and one somewhere will do it in a junior league game, thats were all this gets immitated.

Ain’t a kid on the field on Saturdays that cares about being a role model. Those days are gone unfortunately.
