We all know that the front 4 of A&M's defense will make or break our offense. I would like to know what everyone's opinion is about any weaknesses they have that we can exploit. I haven't seen them play hardly at all this season. How is their rush defense compared to their pass defense. Their running game compared to their passing game. I'm worried about our first trip to Kyle Field. I have dreaded this day since they joined the conference. The 12th man is going to be rowdy. I'm all Vols. But without a complete 4 quarters this could end badly. If we play like we have been playing. Then I'm going to say A&M 38 Vols 24. If we play 4 quarters and breaks go our way. Vols 42 Aggies 38.

ATM doesn't appear to have any weaknesses. Defense is very good against run and pass. Dline gets penetration consistently, even against good Olines. LBs and DBs are good too. They have a good balanced offense and QB can make big plays with arm or legs. UT and ATM look pretty similar. ATM has shown poise to come from behind.

Texas A&M has a Qb that is in a bit of resurgence. Trevor Knight has great burst and a strong arm.

Wrs are all good. Kirk and Reynolds are money.

The Rbs Williams and Ford are very good.

Oline is big.

Defensivly, they do give up yards between Redzones. Not great tacklers. Athletic bunch.

DEs are tall and fast.

CBs are average.

We need to run the ball effectively and pressure Knight into turnovers.

Josh Dobbs and our passing game will keep it close.

Look for Alvin Kamara to make a HUGE play

It will come down to the team that executes and has the least mistakes.

We have enough talent to win this game or the Alabama game.

If we would play a full 60 min game the last 2 games wouldn't have been as suspenseful.

They haven't played Tennessee yet

Saw knight/mayfield run for two long TD's up the middle. Going to have to respect his running.

Still have nightmares of Knight torching us Worley's last year when he was starting QB at Oklahoma.

Texas A&M is basically what many thought Tennessee would be this year. They're kinda like a better us.

Trevor Knight is deceptively quick when he pulls the ball down and sees some open field. He's into the secondary before you know it. Really need the D to tackle well and our interior Dline to hold their positions.

The Aggie offense is well balanced with 521 yds/game being 1st in the SEC. They are 3rd in overall offense. Passing 262 yds/game and running 258 yds/game.

Although they rank 4th in the sec in points allowed on overall defense, they are only 13th in pass defense yielding 253.4 yds/game. Their rush defense is 5th in the conference yielding 134yds/game.

I'll write up an analysis of the match up later in the week using Phil Steele's bible and stats on the season. Won't matter much, based on the way we've been winning these games. We can pretty much hang with any team as far as I can tell. Will be very interesting to see how we perform against a 'top 10' team.

We will see if Garrett plays. Out this past week with the ankle injury. wasn't covered well by the press. Will not be 100% for UT game. Thats my only inside information ever on this board.

are they for sure ruled out already? i agree, we need them back. if we have to wait til Bama, then we have to wait. but i'd like to get them back for at least one of these games. defense needs a lift.....

I think we'll do well.

they run, and stop the run. they've gotten a lot better on the LOS on both sides of the ball, and it now matches all that skill they have offensively. aTm is good.

Trevor knight has to be the most pleasant surprise for Aggie fans, considering what kind of shape the qb situation was in at the end of last year.

by far, this is the toughest match up we have had all season, on both sides of the ball. it'll be interesting to see how we attach that defense, and if we can stop their offense enough to have a legit shot at winning.

Recent history says aTm starts to flounder around a tad as conference play picks up.

i think the match up that we have to pay attention to is our front 7 against their improved O line. they lead the league in rushing, so that'll be important to both teams.

conversely, i , think we absolutely have to run the ball....i'm thinking if you look at how GA attacked our LB's in their running game, it's almost a little bit of a blue print to attack aTm. take advantage of all the speed up front, run right at them.

I saw a little of their game against arkansas. Arkansas tried to ram the ball in from inside the a&m 3 yard line at least five times and got stoned on all of them. It will be hard to win this game unless Dobbs has a big game throwing and running. I think our defense could be in for a long day. Hope I'm wrong....
