I think it comes down to a lower conference winning % for opponents. I’m not 100% on that but basically it’s a conference strength of schedule so to speak I believe. Also, we lost to Bama and they lost to Texas

That is not all - TTU would have to win the Big 12 conference championship game - because if they lose, the Big 12 gets 2 and that pushes the team at number 10 out. Texas will NOT jump any SEC team that wins this weekend, and A&M will not fall out of the top 10.

Texas still falls in line behind Georgia, Ole Miss, A&M, OU and Bama.

I say the percentage thing is probably key. Because I’m not losing to a team at home that lost to FSU is “better loss” than losing to Texas on the road. I would honestly say Texas A&M has the better looking loss lol

Yeah, but unfortunately it’s all about conference games I’m assuming. I honestly wish we weren’t in it, so we could get healthy, but on the other hand I get to watch my team play another game. We would be better off probably not playing next weekend, but oh well! Maybe it’s a good game, and hopefully we don’t suffer for it.

No, TAM has played a dog**** schedule. Texas is the first team they have played in conference with a pulse. Literally every conference game has been against the bottom half of the conference.

When I was watching the game last night I didn’t think the A&M offense had the urgency or focus they needed. I’m big on winning each play and they seemed more intent on trying to hit a home run…they went three and out their first two series in the third quarter. First play of first series Reed rolled to his right then scrambled back to his left before throwing in incomplete pass 25-30 yards downfied…but he had plenty of open space in front of him. Maybe not get 10 yards but probably at least 5…next play 2 yard gain then another incomplete pass on 3rd 8…punt. Next series they get to 3rd and 2 and throw an incomplete pass 25 yards downfield…punt.

Maybe they can play like that against weaker teams but in a life or death struggle with your most bitter rival I thought they should have been more focused on winning each play. I sure hope the Vols are today.

I guess why this bothers me is because we do it all too often, at the end of first qt vs Vandy we’re 0-3 throwing long and twice those throws killed drives…just not smart ball

As I recall, we didn't throw many long ones last week.

Therefore, you toss a few this week.


Sometimes they hit for an easy 52 yard TD
