Say what ever you want but development of kickers was one of Butch's best attributes. I would say from a player development standpoint Daniel and Palardy should be thankful
for their time under Butch.
Yeah because of our anemic Butch Jones Offense.....Daniel got way too much practice punting.

Trevor is a magician with that oblong ball. We had the luxury of being thrilled for three years with the ways he could direct it.

We'll miss him. Hopefully not too desperately, but we will miss him.

Primarily because our punters got a lot of reps.

Hey do you all remember that time we had one of the best punters in the country and Butch decided to make him a rugby style punter for one game in the worst shutout in Neyland history just for fun?

Lechler is 42 and said this is the first real competition he’s been a part of in training camp since he entered the league. That should tell you all you need to know right there. It’s hard to say this because he’s a punter but we really are going to miss having Trevor back there. He was an absolute weapon with his pinpoint accuracy.

I had the opportunity to watch him last year at the Indiana State game. In warmups, he was on the 50 and punting it into the end zone seats. I couldn't believe the hang time he put on the ball. Congrats to him....

One of the bright spots of the Lyle era.

Actually, all of our special teams play was a very bright spot. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Trevor punting, Evan Berry returning kickoffs, Cam Sutton and others returning punts, the only thing that wasn't always Grade A about our Special Teams the past few years was Aaron Medley's place kicking. He was clutch on extra points and inside 40 yards, so was no slouch. But if he'd been at the Trevor Daniel - Evan Berry level of excellence, he'd have been hitting them routinely from 55.
