Fair was one of my all time favorite players at UT! Couldn't be more excited to have him back in Knoxville with the VOLS again!

Man, i loved that guy back in the day
Most memorable plays to me was UCLA punt return for TD. Vs Bama in 96 pick six only to be called back for a block in back but only a few plays if no int we probably don’t win that game along with longest streak vs Bama.

Geez...reminds me of my childhood. He was the epitome of the glory years in the mid 90s. I was 11-12 years old. I’ve got a 6 year old now, would love for him to experience the same joy I had back in the day!

My first thread ever started so be patient. While searching internet and hearing a rumor that Will Friend has accepted a position as a coach at UT. I'm, at this moment, uncertain of what position he will be taking but I think he may be a co-OC. His current position is OC at Colo St.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that none other than VFL Terry Fair will be traveling with coach Friend as UT's new defensive backs coach. There you go fans. Ain't it great to be a Vol and see one of our own on the sideline?

I will edit shortly to provide the link, one way or the other. Go Big Orange!

The Denver Post Dec.7,2017 3:33p.m. leaving Colorado the evening of the 7th and arriving in Knoxville,Tn. late on 12/7. May be announced Friday 12/8/17

Always liked Terry. Glad he’s coming home! Hopefully he’s a heck of a DB coach.

The last time our secondary was successful was while he was a graduate assistant working with them.
When his graduate tenure expired, he went to CSU and our secondary has suffered ever since.

Coach Pruitt's main area of experience is with secondary so he should bridge any gaps and mentor Fair if needed.

I Think warren a good coach but we were ranked high in pass defense because why would teams pass? All they had to do was hand it off to the RB.

Valid point and was probably a big reason for that..

Exactly and we still played soft coverage on downs that we should of pressed. I did like Shoops blitz packages and alot of the calls would have worked more in our favor if the DL could have produced more pressure!
