Terry is promoting himself big time to try to get back into coaching. He says nothing bad about anybody who might have a spot opening up in the near term. Comprehende?

In 1998 he almost hit me with his car when i lived in auburn while he was still coaching in auburn. i was working in a landscaping crew and was blowing off the side walk and standing up against the curbside when his lexus came to a screeching hault about 3 feet from where i was standing. i never saw him coming until i heard his tires sqeeling. this was in a residential neighborhood so he obviously was going way too fast. instead of asking if i was ok he threw up his hands in anger and replied from his rolled down window, "watch where you're going." of course my only reply was the old california howdy do. i was wearing my tennesse hat. in case you forgot we beat AU on the plains on the way to a BCS championship.
Thank goodness i wasn't a small child on a bicycle or somehting aweful could have happened.

terry bowden is getting entirely too much board time these days. everytime i think of him, i think of that cartoon with the two dogs, the one big bull dog, and the little one tagging along squelching "which way did he go George? which way did he go?".

i'll let you decide which one he reminds me of. the guy is a pud.

someone said it best when they said if Terry got the coaching job at TN, they would quit supporting and watching TN fball. I agree 100% with that person

then what? He had half a bad year and he quit when they pretty much let him know he'd be fired at the end of the season, and that was coming off a 10-3 year. Heck, if UTK had an AD with half the gonads of David Housel there would not even be a Fulmer debate because he'd of been on the street at then end of the '05 season.

It was off the field stats that killed his on the field stats. It's a what if that will never get answered.

Yeah, it took a lot of guts to sneak out of town on a private jet to talk to Bobby Petrino.

I never said I want Terry Bowden at UTK, I just don't think he was a bad coach. Probably he was in the same leauge as Fulmer, but not up there with Meyer, Spurrier, Tuberville, Saban, and Richt.
