Funny how people throw around recuiting and in-state talent and that Tennessee has none of either.
Really?
So how in the heck does Pat Summit do it?
So if we had a football coach like that, we would still have trouble because of mom's home cooking?
Please!

Summit is a legend. She has built up her status over years and she is not a bad recruiter to start. You entire thought process is outside the bounds of logical assumptions.

She went to school at UT Martin and at one time...... was not a legend.
So we can't do it at football?
I understand!

Hmmm...yeah because the SEC is just an upstart in football. I mean there is no other great coaches here or players. The new coach can take some years build up and almost create big time football in the SEC. I do understand. The comparison you are making is right on. And it is basketball you need 5 players to play. So just one star makes a whole lot of difference. So if a new coach can land one or maybe two big time players think of what we can do.:eek:hmy:

Tennessee has recruiting...but the in-state talent is pretty questionable. The state of HS talent in Tennessee has little to do with our head coach at UT. Chart draft picks with 1st round picks weighted at 14 pts. and 7th round picks weighted at 2 (for example). Look at how Tennessee's HS products (could have played college ball in Tennessee or elsewhere) do relative to other states. Multiply by the ratio of that state's population to US population if you want, I'm sure we still don't do so well compared to states like SC.

Why?
So Tennessee Football will have trouble recruiting without Fulmer and we are no longer a top tier SEC School.

This is about as meaningful as "your head can't fit into the monitor because you have horns."
