So if Pruitt stays as coach....what are reasonable expectations next year.....Especially if this year is 2-11????
just looking at the schedule I would say 6-6 with a bowl bid..so 7-6. Not seeing too many wins on the 2020 schedule.
- Sept. 5 — Charlotte
- Sept. 12 — at Oklahoma
- Sept. 19 — Furman
- Sept. 26 — Florida
- Oct. 3 — Missouri
- Oct. 10 — at South Carolina
- Oct. 24 — Alabama
- Oct. 31 — at Arkansas
- Nov. 7 – Kentucky
- Nov. 14 — at Georgia
- Nov. 21 — Troy
- Nov. 28 — at Vanderbilt
First I think its a dumb poll. Second some of the choices are crazy since they are currently active coaches. Who in their right mind thinks 15 million to get rid of the current staff, plus the payments we still owe Butchie boy, plus the cost of any buyout of any active coach.....plus a much higher salary than the ones we currently have if you think a great coach will come. So instead of thinking 15 million for a new staff, I think you would have to consider 20 to 25 given the rabid fan base we have in expecting instant championships as quick as instant oatmeal. So let's add all these numbers up and see just where the money would come from. I'm not convinced anyone would pony up with the money to make a change to a 6 year contract that is only in the second year. Just my simple opinion.
Man we owe OU a beat down. Assuming we have a serviceable QB a i see 9-3. The defense has improved a lot and the D line should be caught up finally next year. We will be loaded in the secondary and at LB. The offensive line will be one of the better in the conference. Rb and wr will be adequate enough to win 8-9
