He has a lot of clichés in his announcing game. He also knows the game really well. He’d be better if he’d budget his words. He doesn’t need to talk so much.

Silence is golden. GOT to have some pregnant pauses in there and extended moments of silence. Probably requires more discipline now more than ever with producers holding the fire hose of information in your face the entire broadcast.

Yeah. I felt like in previous years, I never really noticed him which for me is usually the sign of a good color commentator/analyst when they blend with the broadcast. Last night I think was the very first time I’ve ever listened to a game called by Hamer and felt like I wanted to hit mute. It was bad. Felt like listening to nails on a chalkboard.
