Simply, UT is the better team and if the Vols play as taught and to their abilities, UT should win. I expect a close UT win and, hopefully, the end of the wailing and gnashing of teeth experienced on this site since last Saturday. GBO!

After watching LSU play UF last night I believe UT is the better team. I believe we will win at LSU Saturday. It will be a tight game, but I pray we have rested well yesterday and they had to play an OT game last night and got beat. So, Go VOLS!! Beat the Tigers!

I don’t think that’s a huge margin. Equal to 2 points. I think both teams come prepared to play and I expect it to be a close game

LSU has a lot of raw talent that plays very loose and undisciplined basketball.

If they stay away from the reckless mistakes they re very formidable. If not, they give you a lot of free stuff.

LSU will be up for this game just like Ky was. If Tn does not play the 3 ball better and actually play some D then the same result will be like the Ky game.

I'm totally confused about basketball. I had the idea LSU was really good. They went into rupp and beat a good $$$$$ team. Then they go home and lose to a Gayt---d team we beat twice. If we don't play better than the last two we can't win anyway. And all of a sudden Pearl has Wiley back and they are shootin the lights out. These last few games could give us bowel problems.I hope we can get back to playing with confidence and finish this thing off!!! Go Vols!Alferd C. Newman.jpg

Winning Ugly can be a good thing. Part of the process. Vandy an ugly win with our lowest production offensively, but Defense played much better so there is a plus... We have to learn to win in any scenario and it will pay off come tourney time.

Yeah and it starts w Waters. I think the biggest challenge will be pressuring him and hopefully forcing him to turn it over. Which he can be prone to do .

When we played Kansas, Gonzaga, etc. early this season I remember thinking "man this team can pass the ball". It had zip, was precise, and seemed to almost always set-up a shot. Williams was deadly on the fringe of the paint. The last several weeks, the passing seems to have less zip and purpose. Almost like their passing it around, hoping to find a shot. I don't know if it's complacency, tiredness, in a slump, or what. If they can get that back and make a few more 3's each game, I believe they could run the table.

Yep, we have to keep Waters out of the lane best we can, absolutely keep him from getting out in transition, and then keep LSU off the offensive glass. They are a very good offensive rebounding team.

Yep
They re easier to guard when they get stagnant and get in 1vs1 mode.. it starts with him as good as he is.

I’m just not that sure they are great on the offensive glass. Memphis, LA Tech, Charleston, FSU, Houston, St Mary’s, ULMonroe, Bama, Ole Miss, Georgia twice, and Kentucky have all beaten them on the offensive glass. So in 12 of 26 games they have been beaten. Basically half. We’ve been beaten 13, also basically half. Common foes didn’t really help either as we basically split them. Most of their huge numbers in offensive rebounds come against terrible opponents. Naz Reid is a beast...but they don’t have much else as far as an inside game goes...good not great.

That doesn’t mean they aren’t good at it. They are 4th in the country.

I think Naz will do his thing. Tough matchup for us. So the key will be guarding Waters
Yeah. Hes a match up problem. Waters getting his is not all bad if you force him to take more shots than normal to get it. We should match up pretty well with the rest.

Then it comes down to us getting back to doing what has made us hard to guard all year.
