This was the game where I spent the first 5 minutes wondering why people kept staring at me. Finally, I turned around and Bruce Pearl was sitting directly behind me.

People talking about that offensive line and how great it was is pretty funny. In reality, that offensive line was not that good. I'm pretty sure Tennessee was last in rushing offense in the SEC that season. If not last, they were in the bottom tier. The o-line was great at protecting the QB, but they were horrible at run blocking. I think we had about -15 yards rushing against Florida.

I also think that Eric Ainge was extremely unappreciated when he was here. It's not his fault that the defenses he had were not very good. We lost a few games in 2006 and 2007 because of the defense not being able to stop anybody.

That OL was better than any one we have had in recent memory. Our rushing numbers may have been better in 2015 and 2016 but that was mainky to do with Dobbs. Take him away and our rushing would have been pedestrian. Like I said, its absolutely foolish to compare any QB in the Fulmer era to JG. If you do, then you are simply belittling JG on purpose.
