Not to be a downer, but I could see us going very vanilla on offense that game. I obviously am not saying we will lose, but I just think the playbook will be limited

I agree but the talent may very well still run up the score.
A quick pass to Kamara or hand off to Hurd where 10 yds would be expected, could easily become 35yd tds.

Agree. No sense in broadcasting what the offense will look like in the first game against an OOC opponent.

However, I'd expect the defense to show up in full strength and be pure evil.

I'm very concerned about their returning QB Lamb. He is a very athletic QB & a decent passer. We're supposed to have one of the top defenses not only in the SEC but the entire country. Well, we're going to get tested by an experienced QB right off the bat.

I think this might turn into a little bit of a slugfest. Not saying App State is going to score 40+ points but they are going to put up a few points. They can't stop us however. I'd say 23.5 point line is about right. I'll say we win 45-19.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being closer trying not to show too much on offense

Maybe once we get a lead Dobbs should work on his down field passing. See if our new LT can put up with App State pressure. Nah, Butch will probably just call a lot of runs and short passes like always

K? What? Did you see something in that bolded part that you don't agree with me on? We are supposed to be one of the best in the SEC on defense.

Lamb is an experienced QB. He can run & throw the ball pretty decently. So, what's there to disagree with me on here buddy? Or, are you just saying K to go along with me? Thanks!

It doesn't matter how vanilla we may go. We will still win this game by as many points as CBJ wants.

He's going to get the Chuckie Keeton treatment. Believe that!
