Not UT related but I thought I would post it here in case some of you guys wanted to check out some vintage baseball in the area. The league plays in several venues across the state, Knoxville, Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Goodlettsville, and Smyrna. Admission is free and would be a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
They play at the Ramsey Plantation off John Sevier locally.

It is cool, but no where near as fun as the Adult Baseball league I played in for many years once I retired. Guess now that I am almost 50, this will do.

Got to check out opening weekend "circa 1876" at the Ramsey House in East Knoxville..really adds to the experience when they play on historic properties..it was really fun, just bring a blanket and a chair and have a picnic and watch some vintage baseball. ..I heard that they are trying to get a team together in the Johnson City area..I told them to check with some Civil War re-enactors..but with all the rookie leagues and fans in the Tri-Cities area, I would think that it would be easy to get a team together.

That is very cool. I went to a Giants/Cubs turn back the clock game a few years ago and it was pretty cool. They wore 1912 uniforms, the scoreboard did not show videos, there was a barber shop quartet and they only played organ music. Memphis area native Matt Cain pitched.
