Aaron Douglas was named, but they just mentioned a number of people considering transferring. I wouldn't be surprised if Eric Berry, Poole, etc are among them.

Eric Berry is not going to transfer. It would be the dumbest decision ever made. He would have to SIT OUT or play D-II???

ya eb won't be leaving with one more year before he's eligible for the draft. He won't transfer and sit out a year.

I wouldnt lose any sleep if Aaron Douglas left, or Poole. Eric Berry wont leave, him having to sit out a year would be very detrimental for his career and his draft prospects.

it would make zero sense for someone like Berry to transfer right now

Why Poole? He should be pissed they wasted a year of his eligibility.

There is no way in hell Berry transfers. He'll probably leave early after next season now but he will not transfer.

Eric berry isn't leaving.

Did you hear him at Fulmer's announcement? You can make a proclamation like that 1000 times but Fulmer was important to these players and to a man they all seem to think the University did him wrong, not just by firing him but by showing him no respect in how they did it. You don't think 18-20 year old young men can hold a grudge?

I swear some people here act like this is an entirely positive move, and it isn't.

If you listen to the players talk a number of them have said they came here because of Fulmer, not the facilities, or the tradition, or the university. If they feel he was wronged why would they stay?

I dont care if Aaron leaves, but with that being said. I read an article about how it was his dream to play for Tennessee and he wanted to play there since he was a child. I wish i could find this article again.

Eric Berry can hold a grudge after the 2009 season when he's loaded and playing for the St. Louis Rams or San Francisco 49ers. He is not transferring.

It was the entirely right move, so get over it. I don't know why everybody is wringing their hands over an emotional press conference. Anyhow, these are the same players that are going 3-9 this season, which, for those keeping score at home, will be the worst season in Tennessee HISTORY. I think they can be replaced.

Eric would have to transfer to a FCS school for next season.

It wouldn't hurt his draft chances as he's already proven he's talented against top competition.

Please don't leave Eric.

I understand why your name is "Titanic" now so anytime you want to jump ship over this go ahead. Thanks for overly speculating what these guys may or may not be thinking. Berry seems to be an extremely bright young man and people that smart know not to make decisions based on emotions, but to evaluate what has happened and do what is best for EB. Having said that, Fulmer technically resigned, he was not fired.

What I'm pointing out here is that part of the draw of playing for Tennessee was playing for Philip Fulmer. If you listen to the players that was the single biggest thing that convinced them to come here. He was unique in that he embodied the University in a way few coaches do in this day and age. When he spoke to them about coming to UT he did it from the heart. My problem is that people seem to think that we'll hire some mercenary, bring in a bunch of new recruits, and everything will be swell. I'm saying that's not going to happen. People are underestimating the different things Philip Fulmer brought to this program, as a coach and as a man. I agree a change had to be made(if not the way it was handled) but don't sell the man short.

Edit: To the guy telling me to jump ship I am an actual student at the university, a tie half the people on this board may not have. I will always be a volunteer.

Give me a break. He isn't leaving.

EB seems to have a good head on his shoulders, so I seriously doubt he would make that decision. Just because he said "next question" in the press conference, that doesn't mean that he's even thinking of leaving.

There's more than one man that can recruit for the Vols.

DJ Hunter said he committed to the University, not a coaching staff.

Tajh Boyd said loving the school is more important than a coaching staff.

Counterpoint is that they don't have anywhere to follow Fulmer. So are they going to be recruited to other schools...errr coaches? Wouldn't that be an NCAA violation?

Congrats. The numbers in my name signify the years I was there.

I say that until things get turned around, the standard response to these players should be...

"You're 3-6, shut up and get on the practice field!!"

Someone needs to talk to these guys. They need to calm down and wait and see who the next head coach is. They need to see who he's going to hire as OC or DC,who he might retain on the current staff, and what new ideas he has. EVERYONE NEEDS TO RELAX THE OLD SAYING, "HASTE MAKES WASTE" APPLIES HERE. Run off somewhere else out of anger or fear and they might be sayin' what was I thinking next season.
