Ya know what would be really cool? To have an out of conference series against a top 25 team similar to how OU Played Arizona earlier in the season. Like how cool would it be hosting UCLA or an Oklahoma State or Florida State for a 3 game early season series or even do like a home-and- home like in football? I feel like if a lot of top 25 teams did this it would generate a lot of excitement for softball especially early in the season.

Tennessee played Baylor in Waco in a series a couple of years ago. Both were ranked in the top 20. Destiny Rodriguez hit that big home run in that first game to pull it out. The second game was a run-rule win. The third game was canceled due to weather, I think.

Agreed two coaching spots to fill after the portal already opens is not ideal. Assuming an announcement of a mutual separation is made sooner rather than later

I’ve had a love hate relationship with Bella Faw the player, on one hand her defense has gotten miles better almost Gold Glove like, and on the other hand her bat is anemic. All things considered, I really do think she would at least be an average hitter if the coaches did not ask her to bunt a majority of the time at the plate. Whenever she’s been allowed to swing away you can see some potential and I think what we ask her to do really stunts her development.

If everyone is returning and the incoming freshman class don't see that happening. Don't see us going after a pitcher if Nuwer and Madjetko along with Hardenburger are all coming back. What position is not locked down for next season? Even Faw with a strong backup freshman coming in seems to not be a place to look for a transfer.

You look at it Doyle and Butt at first, Emma played a solid second and look for her to be the starter there, third looks to be the new position for Dodge and you have a backup in Rutan. The Twins, Knight, and Taelyn and incoming younger players gives you enough outfield. Catcher is strong with Morrison and a backup strong freshman player.

I wish we could get one more top line pitcher. Maybe at least think about a new hitting coach and just stay pat this season.

I smile and wonder why not raile on losing thrice to Ole Miss during the SEC season - now forgotten, but why the LVs fell go sixth.

Personally, losing to the #1 team 1W 2L I have nothing to complain about. was the hitting coach to blame in not hitting well against the MVP pitcher two years in row. if so many teams need new hitting coaches.
